MultiProfile, which is devised to quickly establish whether two or more sequences have different global compositions. The program establishes the average frequency of all words present in a target sequence in one or more source sequences and in the target sequence itself. Then, it normalizes those frequencies by the size of the corresponding sequences. Finally, it divides the average, normalized values of word frequencies in each sequence by the value in the target sequence. By definition, the value in the target is 1, and the values in the source(s), which may be higher or lower than 1, globally estimate how different are the sources from that target.
